Thoughts on the good life. As the blog unfolds I’d like to talk about a few of the following topics:

  • How our desire to plan and know the outcome often constrains our potential
  • The role of entrepreneurship in our economy (and how this could be the best time in the history of the world to start your own business). My goal with these titles isn’t so much to sensationalize my claim as it is to say, “there’s a reasonable, well-considered argument for why _________ might be true.” My goal isn’t to brainwash or polarize you, but to make you think!
  • The case for ignorance
  • The benefits of shutting up and listening (so many times, I keep learning the hard way that I’d have been better off if I just sat back and listened instead of talking)
  • The rising role of randomness
  • The value of being willing to figure things out
  • Short Certainty, Long Randomness
  • What does it mean to “save a life?” and how my experience with depression might have given me a better life than I could have hoped for
