2017 Reading List

These are the books I read in 2017. I’m counting the CFA Level I Books (They’re not “literature” per say, but they strengthened my brain like crazy. I’m counting them. Plus, I passed the test, so clearly I learned something). Some of these might actually be from 2016. I don’t think I read a book every two weeks.

  7. Desert Spear by Philip V. Brett (the much more graphic sequel to The Warded Man)
  8. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
  9. You Know Your Way Home by Suzanne Jauchius
  10. The Effective Executive by Peter Drucker
  11. Made to Stick by Chip Heath and Dan Heath (useful, kind of fluffy)
  12. Shoe Dog by Phil Knight (awesome)
  13. Fooled by Randomness by Nasim Taleb (overrated)
  14. Rework by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier (thought provoking, kind of fluffy)
  15. Early Retirement Extreme by Jacob Lund Fisker (solid book, prob not for everyone)
  16. Random Walk Down Wall St by Burton Malkiel (the first book someone should read on investing)
  17. The New Market Wizards by Jack Schweger (heavily influenced by investing philosophy)
  18. Creativity Inc by Ed Catmull
  19. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
  20. All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
  21. Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand (in progress, and fantastic)
  22. What Works on Wall St by James O’Shaughnessy (illuminating!)
  23. Planet Hulk (awesome, maybe not a “real book” but awesome nonetheless)
